RAPID CITY, S.D. - Multiple semi-trucks have "jack-knifed" on Interstate 90 approximately 6 miles west of Chamberlain at mile marker 254. The South Dakota Department of Transportation posted that the blocked lanes are closed and traffic is being diverted by nearby exits.

The central part of the state has been hit with freezing rain, snow and heavy winds.

South Dakota DOT says to check sd511.org for the most up to day road conditions. They also reminded drivers to, "Please increase following distance, don’t use cruise control, slow down, and wear a seat belt!"

There are not cameras at where the road blockage has taken place, however these photos are from the road conditions on either side of the incident. Mile markers are noted in the upper left corner.
